Traders in Quetta on Wednesday demanded of the government to ensure compensation to the shopkeepers of scrape market, as they had to suffer 50 million losses due to the fire, which gutted the whole market weak ago. This was stated by the shopkeepers during a protest demonstration staged at double road to press the government to compensate the shopkeepers of the market.
As many as 150 shops were destroyed by the fierce fire when it broke out in mini petrol pump located at the back of scrap market and seized the entire market in no time. The traders including Janan, Agha Jan and others called upon the government to ensure the compensation to their loss enabling them to meet the needs of their families.
