The chief of Jamhori Wattan Party (JWP), Talal Akber Bugti, on Sunday alleged that some officials of the intelligence agencies were assisting the separatist forces in Balochistan in a bid to break the country. He stated this at a press conference here in Punjab House, prior to his departure to Balochistan.
He blamed that President, the Prime Minister, and all others at the top positions for pursuing policies, which revolve around their vested interests, and have no interest in addressing the problems being faced by the masses. Talal said that the Army and FC have intensified fresh offensive in Balochistan, and claimed that more than 13,000 people of the Bugti tribe were missing for many years and no one is ready to tell about their whereabouts.
He said that target killing by intelligence agencies was at the highest level in the province, blaming that Indians and Israeli agents were also involved in the malicious acts. He alleged that the Inspector-General of Frontier Constabulary in Balochistan was assisting in smuggling heroin, narcotics, and weapons from Afghanistan, and the amount coming from this business was also being given to some important personalities in Islamabad.
He said that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is a toothless prime minister, and has no power to resolve issues, as the powers rest with the President, and the Army. He added that he was leaving Islamabad with disappointment and despair due to the indifference and the rude attitude of the rulers.
Talal said that he had written a number of letters to the Chief of Army Staff and held meetings with the Ministers, but the miseries of the people of Balochistan never came to an end. He was also criticised Chief Justice of Pakistan for not taking suo motu action on assassination of his father Akber Bugti.
He recalled that the people of Pakistan had rendered tremendous sacrifices for his restoration and pinned significant hopes from him, but he also disappointed the poor people. He said why the Chief Justice was reluctant to take up the case of Akber Bugti, despite filing application in the apex court in this regard.
