All Pakistan CNG Association has announced it will not observe gas load shedding throughout the country on Tuesday (today) as per gas load management scheduled announce by Sui Northern Gas Pipe Lines Pvt Limited (SNGPL). As many as 3,187 CNG Stations will remain operational across the country.
While addressing a press conference Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association Ghiyas Paracha, here on Monday said that CNG Association had co-operated with SNGPL and government just to over come power crisis in the country but no relief had been provided to the people as government had badly failed to curtail electricity loadshedding despite allocating 65 percent gas to the Pepco. He said domestic consumers as well as the industrial sector was facing severe power loadshedding throughout the country. Before announcing this decision Chairman CNG Association held a meeting with 150 members of the Association on the issue. All representatives of CNG filling stations agreed to keep their station opened on Tuesday throughout the country. Paracha alleged that Pepco had become the hub of corruption and badly failed to overcome the power loadshedding in the country.
He said Pepco was devastating other industrial sectors by using 65 percent gas of the total production. He further said that the government intended to continue the gas loadshedding till the last weak of October when the winter season would start and CNG sector had to suffer an unending gas loadshedding.
He claimed that no CNG station was involved in the gas theft except those CNG Stations owned by MNAs and MPAs and they are not member of CNG Association. He said CNG Association had informed Senator Pervea Rasheed spokesman of the Punjab government regarding the operational plan of the CNG stations and if government tried to create any hurdle in the way of their business it will be responsible for the consequences.
