Pakistan cueists will be featuring in the four international events till April 2011, Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) said here on Monday. "Pakistan cuemen will in action in Asian Games, IBSF World Snooker, 6-Red Asian championship and IBSF 6-Red World event PBSA President Alamgir Shaikh told reporters.
Asian Games will be held in Guangzhou (China) in November and it will be followed IBSF World Snooker Championship to be held in Syria in December. He said 6-Red Asian gala will be staged in Bangkok and IBSF 6-Red will be held in India in April 2011.
Alamgir Shaikh said PBSA was facing serious financial crisis in non release of five million grant from Pakistan Sports Board for holding the national circuit matches and participation in various international events including Asian Games in China and World Snooker Championship. He said they have requested PSB for hiring a foreign coach Sanjay Sawant of India. "Sawant will be providing training and coaching to Pakistani cueists ahead of Asian Games held in Guangzhou, China in November," he said.
