The Karachi Port handled 246,858 tonnes of cargo including 177,205 tonnes of import cargo; 69,653 tonnes of export cargo and 5,396 loaded and empty containers during last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 177,205 tonnes comprised of 95,836 tonnes of containerised cargo; 384 tonnes of general cargo; 40,288 tonnes of bulk cargo: 2,807 tonnes of fertiliser; 34,142 tonnes of coal; 3,339 tonnes of sugar and 40,697 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 69,653 tonnes comprised of 34,843 tonnes of containerised cargo; 174 tonnes of general cargo; 33,636 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,324 tonnes of cement; 7,412 tonnes of bulk cement; 21,900 tonnes of clinker and 1,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Thirteen ships namely Cape Mahon, APL Guangzhou, OOCL Dalian, Sima Saman, Kota Arif, OEL Trust, Samin-1, BBC Austria, Sorrelle, Maria N M, MT Swat, Christina and F Spirit sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Thirteen vessels viz Darya Jaan, Masar Trade, Sea Rose, Sammi Superstars, Kota Arif, Cape Manuel, German S, OEL Trust, APL Brisbane, Wan Hai-605, Gloria, Lucky Lady 1 and Atlantic Breeze are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Lucky Lady 1, Ain Temouchment, German S, APL Brisbane and Cape Manuel expected to sail on Monday.
Two vessels viz Chemroad Haya and Hyundai New York due to arrive on Monday, while ten ships namely Daewoo Diamond, Bunga Allium, Royal Diamond 7, Abtin-1, President Jackson, Bunga Raya Enam, Glory Sun, MPP Arrow, Islamabad and Bao Shun are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 79,891 tonnes of cargo includes 69,712 tonnes of import cargo; 10,179 tonnes of export cargo and 2,822 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 69,712 tonnes includes 16,432 tonnes of crude oil; 8,000 tonnes of palm oil; 3,730 tonnes of chemicals; 10,770 tonnes of iron ore and 30,780 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 10,179 tonnes includes 939 tonnes of cement and 9,240 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two vessels viz CV Maersk Georgia and MV Orient-III sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while another vessel viz MT Catterick is expected to sail on the same day afternoon. A total number of nine ships namely CV Maersk Georgia, CV MSC Basal, MV Orient-III, MV Rose-II, MV Tala, MV Harizoon, MT Karachi, MT Catterick and MV Go Star are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, palm oil, crude oil, chemicals and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Six vessels viz Nord Winter, Lady Nariman, Al-Deerah, Thor Spirit, Al-Kawther and Rana carrying containers, sugar, diesel oil, project cargo and cement are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of two ships namely CV Nord Winter and MV Lady Nariman carrying containers and sugar are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal(MW-4) respectively on Monday. One ship namely MV Amira-S is due to arrive on Monday to load rice/cement, while three more ships namely CV Nedlloyd Mercator, CV Hanjin Los Angles and MT FR-8 Regina Mar are due to arrive on Tuesday.
