President Asif Ali Zardari spoke on telephone with the former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Wednesday and discussed bilateral relations and regional situation, Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said. Brown was the Labour Prime Minister from June 2007 till May 2010 when he stepped down after his party lost general elections, which were held on May 6.
Zardari is on a five-day visit to the United Kingdom. He is due to meet British Prime Minister David Cameron on Friday and address a community meeting in Birmingham on August 7.
