Pakistan's Ambassador to China, Masood Khan met Chinese Vice Minister for Commerce, Fu Ziying here on Tuesday and thanked the Chinese government and people for the relief assistance of RMB 10 million provided to the affected people of the recent floods in Pakistan.
Conveying the condolences of the Chinese government and people, Vice Minister Fu said that the devastation and suffering in Pakistan has caused pain and anguish in China. The people of China would do whatever they can to help their brothers and sisters, he added.
Vice Minister Fu said the first consignment of relief goods, comprising tents, small electric generators, water purification systems and medicines, on board three aircraft has already reached Pakistan. Ambassador Masood Khan said these were the items, which Pakistan needed the most. Vice Minister Fu said the Chinese government is highly appreciative of the rescue operation to save 265 stranded Chinese nationals.-PR
