The 'Namaz-i-Janaza' of the slain police constable Munsif Khan was offered at the Garden headquarters here on Thursday. It was attended among others by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Sultan Salahuddin Babar Khattak, Capital City Police Officer, Wasim Ahmed, DIG Headquarters and DIG Traffic.
The deceased, a resident of Karachi's Mahmoodabad area, was shot dead by armed men on Wednesday night. The IGP Sindh also met with the father and brothers of late Munsif Khan and offered condolences. On behalf of the Sindh Police, he also announced a sum of Rs two million for the family of the deceased, and said that salary would be paid to the family of the deceased till the normal retirement age of 60 years. The IGP Sindh also assured the father and brothers of the deceased that the killers of Munsif Khan would be arrested soon and brought to justice.
