Interior Minister Rehman Malik has reiterated the government's undeterred stance against terrorism, saying that war against insurgents would continue till its logical end. Talking to media persons here on Thursday at Peshawar Airport, Rehman Malik saluted to the martyr FC Commandant Sifwat Ghayoor for his invaluable services.
Questioned on the law and order situation in Karachi, he said that all political parties should play constructive role in this regard. He said that Taliban were using the name of Pakhtuns in Karachi and were involved in all covert activities adding that Taliban have captured Kasba colony in Karachi.
However, Malik hoped that peace would return soon in the metropolitan city and the business hub of the country. He said that the government was in contact with MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and he was taken into confidence over the government's efforts for restoration of peace.
Those challenging the writ of the government and targeting innocent people, he said, would not be spared. He maintained that if the nation was to fight war against terror than it had to give sacrifices as wars could not be fought without it.
