Kohli frightened of facing Pakistan’s Irfan

Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli, is arguably one of the best batsmen of the modern generation with records shattering performances in every passing season, Kohli remains a nightmare for the bowlers.

However, the Indian skipper revealed the bowler that the batting great himself is afraid to face. Mohammad Irfan, the tallest bowler in the cricketing world right now, has troubled many batsmen around the world with his unpredictable bounce and Kohli is one of them.

In an interview to Breakfast with Champions, the 29-year-old admitted that he is afraid of facing Pakistan pacer Irfan.

When the host asked which bowler would you like to see from non striking end instead of facing him. Kohli replied: “I’ve never faced Shoaib Akhtar. Pakistan and India were playing in Dambulla, I got out didn’t get the chance of facing him. Even at the twilight of his career, I saw him bowling, it was so lethal then, I imagine what he would be doing when he was on his peak.”

“Also Mohammad Irfan, the tall guy. Even before the World Cup I did some special preparations to face him. Irfan is huge, it is terrifying to face him due to his unpredictable bounce,” Kohli admitted.

This is not the first time that Indian skipper praised Pakistani bowlers, earlier; he lauded Mohammad Amir calling him the best bowler in world cricket today.
