Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdul Aziz bin Ibrahim bin Salih Al-Ghadeer called on Pakistan's Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Sunday regarding the natural calamity that hit Pakistan recently.
Qureshi apprised the Saudi ambassador regarding the magnitude of devastation caused by the flash floods in the country, said a statement issued by the Foreign Office.
The foreign minister told Aziz that in view of the long-standing and deep rooted brotherly relations between the two countries, the people of Pakistan expects a generous response from their Saudi brethren.
Aziz informed Qureshi that Khadam Al-Harmain Shareefain is taking personal interest in extending relief to the flood affected people in Pakistan. He said over the past three days, four aeroplanes of relief goods from Saudi Arabia have arrived in Pakistan, and added that more relief consignments were in the pipeline.
He assured that Saudi Arabia would fully support the people and the government of Pakistan in this hour of need.-PR
