"Many countries of the world are spending millions of dollars to promote their domestic brands and strengthening their enterprises to compete in the highly competitive business arena of the globe. In order to promote Pakistani brands and pay tribute to the efforts of Pakistani business ventures, KCCI has planned to institute Pride of Pakistan Brand Awards which will set new milestone to promote logos "Made in Pakistan" in the country and around the globe".
This was stated by President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Abdul Majid Haji Muhammad while addressing members of the Intellectual Property Rights Sub-committee. He said that KCCI is committed to protect and promote the rights of its valued members with a persistent enterprise to elevate their business venture beyond new horizons of success.
Abdul Majid said that Pakistan is the land of opportunity having an array of indigenous products available in abundance. He underscored the demand of Pakistani products of diversified sectors in the countries world-wide, whereby its major chunk is exported without any branding and value-addition. Chairman, Intellectual Property Rights Sub-committee-KCCI, Shamsul Islam Khan elaborated that KCCI has designed its Pride of Pakistan Brand Awards in a unique style and fashion, keeping in view that the awards would act as a source of inspiration rather than commercialism. Shams highlighted that "KCCI's Pride of Pakistan Brand Awards" should be awarded on merit annually, to the market leaders exclusively of Pakistani origin involved in manufacturing, trading, and or services sector.-PR
