Punjab University Academic Staff Association (PUASA) General Secretary, Professor Javed Sami and Vice-President Majid Rana, in a joint statement issued here Monday, strongly condemned hurling of life threats and use of harsh words against In-charge, Institute of Plant Pathology Dr Ghazala Nasim by Tariq Manzoor, an ex-student of the institute.
They demanded of the varsity administration to sternly deal with the offending student and get FIR registered against him. Moreover, Dr Ghazala Nasim submitted a written complaint to the Vice-Chancellor, Punjab University for initiation of legal action against Tariq Manzoor and provision of safety and security to her.
Meanwhile, Punjab University examinations department has announced the results of MA English, semester system, session 2008-10 and MA History (morning programme), semester system, session 2008-10. Detailed results are available at the varsity's web-site.
