ISLAMABAD: For the first time in Pakistan, Agribusiness Support Fund (ASF) under the USAID's Agribusiness Project (UAP) are proud to bring to Pakistan the pioneering National AgriBusiness Forum (NAbF). An Acclimatization Talk, the third in a series being held across Pakistan, will be held here on 10th May.
The NAbF will provide the ideal platform for learning on the status of agribusiness, exploring business opportunities and identifying potential partners and investors through
ASF-USAID Agribusiness Project’s business matching service. The proposed NAbF, aims to create the necessary linkages and facilitate the passages whereby Agribusiness and all related secondary industry will be represented at one platform.
The broad objective of the NAbF is to provide a cohesive platform for all agri players in Pakistan, at the micro, meso and macro levels.
• To bring together a broad range of stakeholders involved within the Horticulture and Livestock Value Chains, among others.
•Provide a forum to facilitate full engagement and activate debate amongst stakeholders.
•Help identify gaps and weaknesses and suggest interventions to remove these gaps and weaknesses
•Reaching and presenting a cohesive and balanced stakeholder perspective for informed and collective decision-making process for development.
•Formulation of a common vision for the agribusiness sector and;
•Facilitation and promote synergies in development initiatives as well as promotion of public-private partnerships for agribusiness development.
The NAbF aims to integrate all the links in various agri-based value chains among different sectors including horticulture, dairy, fisheries, etc. Key public, private and social sector decision makers will be present to share their views on taking this initiative forward.
