Maintaining traffic: CDGK mobilises 1,500 City Wardens

City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has decided to mobilise the City Wardens (CW) to maintain the flow of traffic during the month of Ramazan. According to sources in CDGK, the wardens would perform duties on different roundabouts, at shopping centres and other public places.
EDO Municipal Services Masood Alam has instructed the chief of CW to ensure the availability of all guards at their assigned locations to help the traffic police. 1,500 wardens would perform duties at 48 locations to ensure the traffic flow where frequent traffic jam especially during the holy month of Ramazan is observed. Their duty timings would be between 4:00 pm to midnight, as the traffic also needed to be maintained during Namaz-e-Taraweeh.
