Small & Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) formally opened its helpdesk at Haripur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (HCCI), Haripur with the purpose to facilitate business community of the district. In this connection, a ceremony was held at HCCI with CEO Smeda, Shahid Rashid as chief guest who appreciated efforts of HCCI in serving business community of the district.
He said Smeda intends to have long lasting relationships with HCCI. He hoped that the establishment of helpdesk would help in creating awareness among the business community regarding entrepreneurship. Rashid stressed that there is strong need of research in potential business areas of the region. He ensured Smeda's support, with all its available resources, to Haripur Chamber in all its economic activities.
Briefing media about the objectives of the helpdesk, Muhammad Kamran Khan, Regional Business Co-ordinator Smeda said the basic purpose of it is to facilitate business community of the district in general and Haripur Chambers in particular.
The helpdesk would identify potential business sectors and clusters of the district, he added. President Haripur Chamber, Sajjad Ashraf Khan thanked Smeda for its kind consideration and presented CEO Smeda the Chamber's commemorative shield.
General Manager (Outreach/ Operations Division) Smeda-Syed Iqbal Kidwai, Provincial Chief Smeda-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Javed Iqbal Khattak, Assistant Manager Smeda, Ishfaq Afridi, Sitting President Haripur Chamber, Sajjad Ashraf Khan, Former President Haripur Chamber, Malik Ashiq Awan, Former President Haripur Chamber-Malik Muhammad Fareed, Former President chamber, Babur Mahmud Shirazi and members of executive committee of HCCI were also present on the occasion.
