Kashmiris on both sides of Line of Control and the world over observed the Indian Independence Day, on Sunday, as Black Day to convey to the world that the people of Kashmir continue to be deprived of their birth right to self-determination.
Call for the observance of the Black Day has been given by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, Kashmir Media Service Reported. Complete shutdown is being observed in the occupied territory with all shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed while traffic is off the road.
