The Karachi Port handled 110,025 tonnes of cargo including 49,606 tonnes of import cargo, 60,419 tonnes of export cargo, 5,555 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 49,606 tonnes comprised of 34,009 tonnes of containerised cargo; 15,597 tonnes of bulk cargo: 2,053 tonnes of fertiliser; 7,000 tonnes of coal; 4,267 tonnes of scrap and 2,277 tonnes of oil cake meals.
The total export cargo of 60,419 tonnes comprised of 39,861 tonnes of containerised cargo; 45 tonnes of general cargo; 6,413 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,149 tonnes of cement; 5,264 tonnes of bulk cement and 14,100 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely African Kookaburra, APL Ruby, Concord, Kota Anggerik, S 1 Moon and Bunga Raya Satu sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Five vessels viz Lucky Arrow, Bunga Raya Satu, POS Island, Ocean Land and Al-Mirqab are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Torm Venture, TS Dubai, Greenwich Bridge, Al-Mirqab and YM America expected to sail on Tuesday, while five vessels viz OEL Trust, Lucky Arrow, Istra Ace, Taban-1 and Unicorn Brave expected to sail on Wednesday.
Four vessels viz President Truman, Mare Dore, Ocean Project and Danica Green due to arrive on Tuesday, while seven ships namely Bavaria Express, Bunga Raya Sambilan, Williamsburg Bridge, Seaways Venture, S B Queen, Saeed and Free Goddess are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 102,917 tonnes of cargo includes 80,703 tonnes of import cargo; 22,214 tonnes of export cargo and 2,209 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The total import cargo of 80,703 tonnes includes 38,788 tonnes of furnace oil; 18,827 tonnes of phosphoric acid; 1,664 tonnes of sugar; 8,089 tonnes of coal and 13,335 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 22,214 tonnes includes 6,374 tonnes of cement and 15,840 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three container vessels viz APL Chile, Norasia Alps and Northern Diplomat sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while a chemicals carrier namely Sichem Defender is expected to sail on Tuesday. A total number of ten ships namely CV Norasia Alps, CV Northern Diplomat, CV Zhen Hua, MV Rana, MV Al-Kawther, MV Amira's, MV Lady Nariman, MT Sichem Defender, MT Al-Khalidia and MV Beilun Whale are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, phosphoric acid, coal and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Eleven vessels viz Nedlloyd Hudson, Eddy Stone, FR-8 Regina Mar, Al-Soor-II, SC Dong Hai, Sichem Edin Burgh, Pertiwi, Nolowati, Alexi-1, Moon Light and Zenobia carrying containers, diesel oil, palm oil, chemicals, cement and rice are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of four ships namely CV Nedlloyd Hudson, CV Saudi Diriyah, MT SC Dong Hai and MT Pertiwi carrying containers, palm oil and chemicals are expected to take took berths at Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Two container ships namely CV CMA CGM Quartz and CV Ikaruga are due to arrive on Wednesday.
