DCO Naseem Sadiq has directed the concerned departments to get the projects, being executed under citizens community boards (CCBs), completed without delay and detail of projects, their expenditure and available funds should be provided to his office.
These instructions were issued by him while presiding over a meeting at his committee room, during which he was briefed by EDO CD about the administrative set up and performance of the departments attached with the community development department.
The DCO directed that all the officials and financial affairs of CCB registration and projects should be made transparent and the pending application, regarding registration of CCB, should be disposed off on merit swiftly.
Sadiq said community development department has vast scope and there is room for implementing the welfare and development projects to provide relief to the public. He directed social welfare department to fully patronise the active and vibrant NGOs rendering social welfare services, adding that bogus and paper NGOs should be discouraged completely.
He advised that Zakat funds for the treatment of deserving patients should be utilised in a transparent manner, under medical social welfare section in government hospitals. He stressed upon the need to expand welfare, medical treatment activity and rehabilitation at drug-abused centre at DHQ Hospital, and said the courses for the training of women in 'Sanatzar' should be made inline with the local needs and requirements.
