A worker of Sialkot Health Department accused Rana Tahir killed four of his family members with sharp-edged knives before Sehari on Sunday at his house in Sialkot's congested locality Talwara Mughalaaan. According to the details, Rana Tahir, 40 took a second wife Nazia Bibi, 35 about two years ago. After that domestic disputes between his first and second wives became a daily routine.
The night before he killed them when both wives again had a fight. All of his family members were sleeping in the courtyard of his house, when he attacked them with sharp-edged knives, killing his second wife Nazia Bibi, her sister Fatima Bibi and his two sons Mohsin and Haider Ali on the spot. He also injured seriously his first wife Nighat Bibi, 45 and her brother Rana Yousaf.
The injured were shifted to Government Allama Iqbal Memorial DHQ Hospital Sialkot in critical condition. Police have arrested the accused Rana Tahir, who told police that he was so depressed as both his wives used to fight everyday which made his life miserable and finally he decided to kill them.
