Prominent industrialists and business tycoons/yarn merchants have condemned the brutal assassination of two brothers of Sialkot, Hafiz Mughis and Hafiz Muneeb and hanging of their bodies in presence of police Officials. Both ill-fated youths were nephews of Khawaja Amjad, Chief Executive, Khawaja Cotton Industry.
They demanded of Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, to terminate all the police officials in whose presence bodies of both Hafiz-e-Qura'an brothers were hanged in Sialkot and also order for registration of a case under Anti-Terrorist Act against the assassins and police officials in this double-murder case.
In a Joint Statement issued here Sunday, Malik Muhammad Anwar, Chairman, Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, Vice Chairman, Syed Faheem Mehmood Shah, Former Senior Vice Chairman, Faisalabad Dry Port Trust(FDPT) and prominent traders, Kh Amjad, Mian Ahmed Usman, Mian Shafiqu-ur-Rehman, Mian Shaukat Aftab, Mian Naveed Ahmed, Mian Irfan Zubair, Mian Shahzad Zubair and Sr members of Pakistan Yarn Merchants Association(PYMA) appreciated the "suo motu" notice taken by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, in the double-murder case of two brothers and registration of a case against 30 persons, including 13 police officials.
They also slated the police lathi-charge on medical students and Doctors of Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur, and maltreatment of police with female medical students and doctors and demanded immediate termination of the police officials responsible of the lathi-charge and registration of a case against them.
They hailed President Asif Ali Zardari for taking immediate cognisance of two Hafiz brothers' assassination in Sialkot and police baton-charge on medical male and female Students and doctors of Bahawalpur. Hospital and demanded punishment for those proved guilty in both these cases.
