The Supreme Court Bar Association has condemned MQM leader Altaf Hussain's statement about imposition of Martial Law in the country and said that the legal fraternity will foil all such attempts to derail democracy and impose dictatorship in the country.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Secretary Supreme Court Bar Association, Raja Zulqarnain, vice president Mian Waheed Akhtar and Lahore Tax Bar Mohammad Ajmal said that Bar Associations have always opposed the military dictators and sided with the democratic forces in the past. They accused that Altaf Hussain was the product of military dictator the late Ziaul Haq who used him against the democratic forces to protect his vested interests.
They contended that MQM had been in power by conspiring with the military dictators during the past twenty two years. Now it is being protected by the international terrorist agencies like black water, CIA etc. The target killings in Karachi are being carried out on the behest of these international agencies to destabilise Pakistan politically and ruin its economy by shut downs, they added.
