Sayid Paper Mills Stags outplayed Chaudhry Steel by nine wickets in the fifth Lahore University of Management Sciences (Lums) Twenty-20 Cricket Cup, played at Lums ground. Chaudhry Steel were all out for 90 runs with Wasim making 33 runs and Shahid 10. Salman Ali took 3 wickets for 12 runs, followed by Inam Javed 2-18, Muhammad Ali 2-17, Faisal Virk 1-26 and Tipu Sultan 1-15.
In reply, Sayid Paper Mills Stags raced to the target by making 93 runs for 1 wicket with Irfan Aman 52 (not out) and Salman Ali 20. At the conclusion of the event, SPM head Aizad Sayid conferred 'man of the match' award on Salman Ali for his outstanding performance as an all-rounder in the event.
