Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said the Punjab government is utilising all resources for the rehabilitation of the flood victims. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting at the Lahore airport before visiting the flood-hit areas here on Wednesday. He visited affected areas to review the steps taken for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood-hit people.
The Punjab Chief Secretary, Senior Member Board of Revenue, Secretary Finance, Secretary Health, Secretary Excise and Taxation and senior officers concerned were also present on the occasion. The chief minister said tents are distributed among flood victims in accordance with their needs and they can take these tents with them when they return to their homes. He also said that dry ration is also being distributed among the people besides cooked food and an organised system has been evolved in this regard so that only deserving people could benefit.
