Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has said the leaders and workers of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) are helping the flood victims and a transparent system has been evolved for their rehabilitation.
Khosa said that PML-N is collecting funds and relief items and dispatching relief goods to affected areas. He said that the party has appointed co-ordinators in various districts of the province for proper distribution of relief items among people and the co-ordinator of that districts from where the relief items are collected, will contact co-ordinators of affected districts to supply the relief items to the concerned DCOs.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of co-ordinators of PML-N held in connection with relief and rehabilitation of flood-hit people. Members National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, Mian Marghoob Ahmed, Kh. Saad Rafique, Ayaz Amir, Pervaiz Malik, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah and Malik Nadeem Kamran, Advisors to Chief Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Dr Saeed Elahi and Members Provincial Assembly Rana Arshad, Rana Muhammad Afzal and other members and office bearers of the party also attended the meeting.
He said that cash is being deposited in the Chief Minister Relief Fund and relief items are being distributed among the flood-affected people. MNAs, MPAs and ticket holders of each district would be the members of the co-ordination committee, he said.
Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that Punjab government besides its own resources is also getting co-operation of party workers and philanthropists. He said that government would provide relief and rehabilitate the affectees by decreasing its expenses. However, civil society, well-to-do people and multinational organisations should come forward and lend their helping hands to the government for this national service. He urged upon the office bearers and workers of PML-N to continue visiting relief camps and provide relief items immediately needed to the affectees and prepare packets of essential items and hand over these packets to the concerned co-ordinators.
