Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) on Saturday observed strike to condemn killing of two 'IDPs' during an encounter with police in Safora Goth four days ago. The life in Safora Goth, Sachal Goth, Marrora Goth, Ayub Goth, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, University Road, Kala Board, Madhu Goth, Chakra Goth, Bhittaiabad, Mehran Town and Bilal Colony remained paralysed with shops closed.
Unidentified people forcibly closed businesses in these areas and pelted vehicles with stones. Incidents of intermittent firing were also reported from these areas. A large number of law enforcement personnel were deployed to avoid any untoward incident. Police have claimed to have arrested some 30 people from these areas on charges of creating unrest.
