Islamabad Police arrested 15 gamblers and two female thieves in two separate raids, a police spokesman said here on Saturday. Margallah Police Station received information that a gambling den is being run in sector G-9 Markaz, where a large number of gamblers are busy in gambling.
SHO Margallah Police Station Abid Ikram responded the call and took a police party and raided the den in G-9 Markaz, arresting 15 gamblers red-handed, the spokesman said. He said that the nabbed gamblers were identified as Akram, Yaqub, Gul Zada, Ejaz, Waqas Shaukat, Ashiq, Naveed, Faisal Tanveer, Nadeem, Kamran Ayub, Khalid Javed, Naseer Ahmed, Muhammad Nawaz, Hanan and Naeem.
Industrial Area police station arrested two women Shazia and Shehnaz for their alleged involvement in theft cases and recovered stolen items from their possession, he spokesman said. Cases have been registered against these detainees and further investigation is underway.
