Lahore High Court (LHC) has announced that Sessions Judge Lahore, Zawwar Ahmad Sheikh will hold his office from September 1st (today). A statement issued by LHC Registrar, Abdul Sattar Asghar said the decision was taken after office bearers of LBA and majority members of Punjab Bar Council assured LHC of their co-operation.
Furthermore, the decision was made on the desire of large number of senior and young lawyers and keeping in view the problems being faced by litigants. The registrar further said that two civil judges Fasial Mahmood Meer and Furqan Ahmad have been transferred from Lahore to Sialkot and Kasur respectively.
