The Karachi Port handled 62,778 tonnes of cargo including 53,215 tonnes of import cargo, 9,563 tonnes of export cargo, 2,028 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 53,215 tonnes comprised of 8,390 tonnes of containerised cargo; 537 tonnes of general cargo; 37,072 tonnes of bulk cargo: 31,500 tonnes of coal; 835 tonnes of MAP; 4,737 tonnes of DAP and 7,216 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 9,563 tonnes comprised of 4,724 tonnes of containerised cargo; 290 tonnes of general cargo; 3,049 tonnes of cement and 1,500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Four ships namely North Pole, James River Bridge, Hyundai Oakland and Cresta Blue sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Three vessels viz Maple Galaxy, President Adams and Al-Mirqab are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Rukia, North Pole, President Adams, Al-Mirqab and MSC Ayala expected to sail on Wednesday, while three vessels viz Atlantic Breeze, Dubai Sun and Fortune Express expected to sail on Thursday. Three vessels viz Samin-1, Cap George and Sunset due to arrive on Wednesday, while nine ships namely STX Ace 5, Kuleli, STX Patraikos, Teera Bhum, OEL Trust, Bunga Raya Sebelas, Genius Star X, BBC England and Kang Cheng are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 89,854 tonnes of cargo includes 69,531 tonnes of import cargo; 20,323 tonnes of export cargo and 2,868 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 69,531 tonnes includes 32,386 tonnes of furnace oil; 3,040 tonnes of MEG; 5,185 tonnes of phosphoric acid; 9,180 tonnes of coal and 19,740 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 20,323 tonnes includes 1,699 tonnes of rice and 18,624 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two vessels viz CV Pago and MT Al-Khalida sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while three more ships namely MT Sichem Marsille, CV Nedlloyd Tasman and CV UASC Shuwaikh are expected to sail on Wednesday. A total number of ten ships namely CV Nedlloyd Tasman, CV UASC Shuwaikh, MV Captain Said, MV Zenobia, MV SV Matvey, MV Mighty Michalis, MT Samho Rock Venus, MT Sichem Marsille, MT Al-Khalida and MT Atlamtic are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, coal, rape seeds, MEG, phosphoric acid and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Nine vessels viz Antje Wulfe, Aruni Rickmers, Sea Bay, Al-Salam-II, Victory Ocean, Gingo, Green Line, Hae Song and Alexi-1 carrying containers, furnace oil, diesel oil, palm oil, coal and cement are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of five ships namely CV CMA CGM Onyx, CV Aruni Rickmers, MT Victory Ocean, MT Al-Salam-II and MT Long Champ carrying containers, palm oil, diesel oil and LPG are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and PROGAS Terminal respectively on Wednesday. Two vessels viz CV MSC Levnia and MT Galaxy due to arrive on Wednesday, while two more ships namely CV Lahore Express and CV Santa Paola are due to arrive on Thursday.
