Wife of Turkish Prime Minister Emine Erdogan on Friday called on Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) General Nadeem Ahmed (Retd) who briefed her on relief operation carried out in flood affected areas. The Chairman NDMA said that it was the worst ever disaster in the history of the country which hit 79 districts and over 20 million people were affected.
He lauded the role of Turkish government and international community for their generous help. Chairman NDMA briefed the spouse of Turkish Prime Minister that NDMA has adopted a transparent way of distributing relief goods among flood victims. "We provide the relief goods to provinces and later provinces provide the stuff to the affected people through proper networks", he said. The better half of Turkish PM acknowledged the role of NDMA and assured assistance of Turkish government for the people of Pakistan.
