Gold prices on Saturday declined to Rs 39,550 per tola and Rs 33,900 per 10 gram here, traders told Business Recorder. "Gold is now available for Rs 39,550 per tola, down from Rs 39,700, and Rs 33,900 per 10 gram, down from Rs 34,074, falling by Rs 200 per tola and Rs 174 per 10 gram respectively in a single day trading," they said.
The precious metal was quoted at $1246 per ounce on the global market, which a day before stood at $1253, according to traders. They said: "Traders are selling gold under-cost by Rs 400 per tola as compared to international prices". They said that gold jewellery sales of the current trading season had reduced to nothing.
