Government of Sindh has declared 17 districts of the province as calamity-hit due to the losses and devastation wreaked by the recent floods and torrential rains. A notification released by Sindh Relief Department here on Saturday has given details of the disaster-hit districts, whereby, areas of each district have been classified in completely affected or partially affected categories.
Ghotki: 22 dehs declared completely affected and 21 partially affected in 12 union councils of Obauro, Daharki and Ghotki talukas of Ghotki district.
Sukkur: 45 dehs completely affected and 6 partially affected in 11 union councils of New Sukkur, Rohri and Punu Aqil talukas of Sukkur district.
Khairpur: 34 dehs completely affected and 13 partially in 12 union councils of Kingri, Gambhat, Khairpur and Sobhodero talukas of Khairpur district.
Noshehro Feroze: 44 dehs completely affected and 12 partially in 9 union councils of Moro, Kandiaro and Noshehro Feroze talukas of Noshehro Feroze district.
Shaheed Benazirabad: 14 dehs completely affected and 21 partially in 9 union councils of Sakrand and Qazi Ahmed talukas of Shaheed Benazirabad district.
Jacobabad: 201 dehs completely affected and 2 partially in 31 union councils of Jacobabad, Garhi Khero and Thull talukas of Jacobabad district.
Kashmore at Kandhkot: 85 dehs completely affected and 53 partially in 16 union councils of Kashmore and Kandhkot talukas of Kashmore district.
Larkana: 35 dehs completely affected and 17 partially in 7 union councils of Larkana, Bakrani, Dokri and Rato Dero talukas of Larkana district.
Shikarpur: 103 dehs completely affected and 18 partially in 26 union councils of Shikarpur, Khanpur, Lakhi and Garhi Yaseen talukas of Shikarpur district.
Qambar at Shahdadkot: 106 dehs completely affected and 1 partially in 11 union councils of Warah, Qambar, Meru Khan, Shahdadkot and Qubo Saeed Khan talukas of Qambar Shahdadkot district.
Dadu: 25 dehs completely affected and 14 partially in 11 union councils of Mehar and Dadu talukas of Dadu district.
Jamshoro: 41 dehs completely affected and 11 partially in 10 union councils of Kotri, Manjhand and Sehwan talukas of Jamshoro district.
Matiari: 14 dehs completely affected and 17 partially in 6 union councils of Matiari, Hala and Saeedabad talukas of Matiari district.
Tando Muhammad Khan: 10 dehs completely affected in 2 union councils of Bulri Shah Taluka of Tando Muhammad Khan district.
Hyderabad: 4 dehs completely affected and 2 partially in 7 union councils of Hyderabad and Latifabad talukas of Hyderabad district.
Thatta: 94 dehs completely affected and 17 partially in 21 union councils of Thatta, Ghora Bari, Jati, Shah Bandar, Kharo Chaanh, Keti Bandar, Mirpur Mathelo and Sajjawal talukas of Thatta district.
Badin: 27 dehs completely affected in 2 union councils of Badin and S.F Raho talukas of Badin district.
