Day in Day out we are bombarded with inspirational stories of very successful people whether it be in our lives or on TV and when in life we encounter these personalities who are projected as success stories, we like to believe that its because of their educational backgrounds or rich family heritage.
Here, need be reminded that such notions are not only untrue but are very myopic in nature. Success stories are all around us, everyone is a survivor and inspiration can be sought from the story of the panwala around the corner or our very own tailors.
It is a know fact that education plays a major role in determining how far you go in life but at the same time the value of hard work, intelligence and perseverance can't be undermined. Rafique Hayat was an ordinary man who had nothing but the talent of stitching clothes and the power of having a dream. He wanted to use his specific skills to earn his livelihood and support his family. Being able to support a family is a responsibility, which has turned into a challenge for most people today.
The demands of the challenge, at times can be so difficult to keep up with, especially in today's trying times with inflation touching the roof; many people get despondent and give up the will to keep trying. If a motivating factor is present however, a person keeps trying to achieve and overcome their problems in the best way possible.
Motivation, in the form of his children, was all that Rafique Hayat needed to give him the strength to get up every day and provide for them. Wanting to give them the best he could, Rafique set out to find means which would allow him to provide his children with a good education to give them a better future. After much thought and discussion with peers and family members Rafique decided he should find a way to better use his tailoring skills and establish a business of his own.
It is then that his friends suggested he take a loan from Khushhali bank, a microfinance bank with a huge network of approximately 197 branches spread out in even the most remote areas to reach more and more people like Rafique. Khushhali Bank extends micro finance loans on easy term & condition in groups so Sabir along with some other reliable members of his area visited the nearest Sales Centre for more information regarding its various products and after being briefed about the loan process and repayment schedules they decided to apply for a loan which was sanctioned and soon invested by the group to expand their businesses and realise their ambitions.
Rafique went on to acquire a start up loan from Khushhali Bank and soon his daily struggles came to an end looking up into a brighter future for himself and his family. Instead of having to work for someone else, he now had his own place and could go about operating in a way which better suited him. Starting off slowly Rafique's client base started to grow and he started earning himself a reputation of a tailor who honoured his commitments and made deliveries on time, within his vicinity. With his reputation booming, his number of clients also kept growing. Rafique decided it was time to do something about it, so he hired another two tailors to help him. But for this he required a little financial assistance hence he went back and applied for another loan at Khushhali Bank, who supported him once again and granted his loan.
The key to Rafique's success was his determination to succeed and being able to provide his family with a better life than the one they had been living. The support he received from Khushhali Bank was also a huge motivating factor for him as it allowed him to believe in himself even more than he did when he started out on his quest because there was someone who believed in him too. Rafique has applied and been granted a loan 5 times by Khushhali Bank and enjoys a very healthy and successful relationship with the bank who has been there to support him when he was at the most difficult point in his life and showed him that when there is a will there is a way.
