Closing stock market indices

Major stock markets outside the United States ended on Monday.
FRANKFURT STOCKS EXCHANGE: The DAX index ended at 6,155.04 points, up 20.42 or 0.33 percent.
PARIS STOCKS EXCHANGE: The CAC-40 index closed at 3,684.73 points, up 12.53 or 0.34 percent.
ZURICH STOCKS EXCHANGE: The Swiss market index closed at 6,418.25 points, up 17.54 or 0.27 percent.
MILAN STOCKS EXCHANGE: The FT IT All Share index closed at 21,204.58 points, up 22.97 or 0.11 percent.
SYDNEY STOCKS EXCHANGE: Australian stocks rose 0.8 percent as banking stocks and miner Rio Tinto rose, eclipsing heavy losses by Macquarie Group after it warned its first-half profit would drop by a quarter. The S&P/ASX200 index closed up 34.3 points at 4,575.5.
JOHANNESBURG STOCKS EXCHANGE: South Africa's rand weakened against the dollar, retreating further from a 2-1/2 year high hit on Friday while local stocks inched up. The All-share index closed at 27,980.6 points, up 37.71 or 0.13 percent. The All Gold index closed at 2,517.06 points, up 48.25 or 1.95 percent, while the Industrial index closed at 23,501.22 points, up 107.85 or 0.46 percent.
