The signing ceremony of handing-over certificate regarding delivery of humanitarian goods worth RMB 80 million (US $12 million) was held in Economic Affairs Division between the Government of Pakistan and the People's Republic of China. The delivery of the goods will be completed through nine special cargo flights. The delivery of these goods will be completed through nine special cargo flights.
Two cargo flights carrying tents have already landed in Islamabad on 4th and 7th September 2010, respectively. Towards the rescue and relief efforts for the flood-affected people, China donated goods worth RMB 50 million (US $8 million) comprising blankets, water filtration equipment and medicine, electric generators, tents and food items etc to Pakistan. In total, China has donated humanitarian goods worth RMB 130 million (about US $20 million). Pakistan greatly values Chinese co-operation in this hour of need.-PR
