PIAF-Founders Alliance has won all the seven Corporate Class seats and a seat reserved for women unopposed at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The LCCI received 13 nominations for seven Corporate Class seats and one nomination against one reserved seat for women. Out of 13, six people on Wednesday withdrew their papers paving the way for all the seven PIAF-Founders Alliance candidates.
The Executive Committee members of the LCCI are: Sheikh Muhammad Arshad, Farooq Iftikhar, Sheikh Muhammad Ayub, Mian Rehman Aziz, Mian Ghulam Murtaza Shaukat, Imran Aslam and Shahid Faraz. Those who withdrew their papers include Abdul Basit, Murad Ashraf, Muhammad Saeed, Asif Nazir, Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry and Sawaba Shahzad. However the election for the eight seats of Associate Class will be held September 21, according to the schedule and there will be no election on 20th.
Those who are in the field for Associate Class are: Muhammad Yousaf Shah, Fahim-ur-Rehman, Shahid Maqsood Butt, Sohail Azhar, Khawaja Khawar Rasheed, Mian Maqsood Ali, Ilyas Majeed Sheikh, Chaudhry Wajid Ali, Raja Hassan Akhtar, Muhammad Nawaz, Syed Irfan Ahmad, Muhammad Shakeel, Omer Farooq, Muhammad Rukhsan, Mian Shabbir Ahmad, Muhammad Yaseen, Sh. Muhammad Munir and Sh Unees Arshad.
