Punjab Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has said that the government would distribute aid to flood affected people in a transparent manner, and thus its process would be vivid and clear. He expressed these views while talking to MPAs and various delegations here on Wednesday, disclosed an official.
The minister also observed that the international community is providing aid to flood affected victims, but the scale of destruction is so large that it is not enough. "While giving aid, the world should keep in view of the vast devastation, so that loss of human suffering could be minimised," he added. He said every penny received would be spent on flood affected survivals and they would strictly follow the austerity drive, current expenditure would be cut further and new resources would be explored. He also said we as a nation need to adopt austerity, and our elite class should adopt simplicity and held the flood-affected people.
