Managing Committee members: election in Reap on September 22

Polling for election of 10 new Managing Committee members of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (Reap) for a two-year term will be held on September 22. Five new members each from North and South Zone of the Association will be elected by the members of the Association on that day in polling, which will simultaneously be held at Reap Head Office Lahore and Reap House Karachi.
Members will elect Four Corporate members each from North and South Zone and One Associate member each from both the zones. According to the election schedule of the Association, final list of the candidate will be issued by September 17 (Friday), whose papers would be found in order to contest this election.
While the newly elected managing committee will be electing the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Treasurer on September 30, 2010, the schedule added. Meanwhile, leaders of United Group and former Chairmen Reap Haji Azhar Akhtar and Syed Najaf Shah in a joint statement expressed hope of victory of their group in the forthcoming elections.
