Divisional and District administration sent more trucks loaded with special Eid gifts and necessary food items to the flood affected people of Mianwali and Rajanpur districts here on Wednesday. Commissioner Tahir Hussain, DCO Naseem, representatives of trade bodies and local philanthropists were present on the occasion.
The commissioner said that the floods had caused enormous damage to the lives and properties of people and everyone should contribute to provide them relief and help till their complete rehabilitation. He further said that efforts should be made to provide relief items to the affected people before Eid so that they could also enjoy happiness of this religious festival. Furthermore, he said that Eid gifts comprising of rice, sugar, oil, ghee, sweets, stitched cloths and bangles are being sent to the families of affected areas and would be distributed by the concerned administration of the districts.
