After successful arrangement of medical relief camp for flood-affected people at Razzakabad, NBP in collaboration with People's Doctors Forum has established another Medical Relief Camp for flood-hit people at Pipri, Karachi. Specialists and consultant doctors of skin, gynea, eye, neuro and other specialists were attending the patients. Thousands of flood affected persons were given free consultation by doctors and free treatment and free medicines were distributed.
From National Bank of Pakistan, Imam Bakhsh Baloch, SE VP/Group Chief, Audit and Inspection along with Shahab Kazi, Head of Media Marketing and PR visited the camp and praised the efforts of doctors, People's Doctors Forum, and volunteers of NBP who made this medical camp a success and announced that NBP would arrange and organise these types of medical camps in other affected areas of Pakistan as well.
National Bank of Pakistan has also opened a Collection Account at all its branches in Pakistan and also in overseas branches to receive donations under the "Prime Minister's Flood Relief Fund 2010". The Collection Account is operated under Current Account No 898989.
Apart from these medical camps, free medicines, NBP also contributed Rs 50 million to the Prime Minister's Flood Relief Fund 2010 and one day's salary by all its employees and additional Rs 10 million to the Bakhtawar Flood Relief Fund and has also provided Rs 60 million worth of food to 240,000 flood affected people.-PR
