PIAF-Founders Alliance has chalked out a comprehensive plan that would help ensure economic progress and prosperity and decided to observe next year as "Building of Pakistan Year" because the recent floods have destroyed major parts of the country.
These views were expressed by the PIAF-Founders Alliance Associate Class team leaders Iftikhar Ali Malik and Sohail Lashari on Thursday. They said that unopposed election of PIAF-Founders Alliance Corporate Class candidates reflects the trust of business community in the policies of the PIAF-Founders Alliance.
They said that soon after the elections, the newly elected office-bearers and the Executive Committee would be taking up the issues being faced by the business community with the concerned government circles as the Alliance was striving to expedite economic activities in the country which are a pre-requisite for the early rehabilitation of flood-affected people.
Almost all the major markets and trade groups including Anjuman-e-Tajran and Quomi Tajir Ittehad had already given their verdict in favour of the PIAF-Founders Alliance and on September 21 again they would back PIAF-Founders Alliance Associate Class candidates, they said and added that all the candidates are known businessmen and are well versed with the issues being faced by the business community. They also stressed the need for building of Kalabagh Dam and cut in mark-up rate. They said that the Alliance would invite newly appointed Governor State Bank at the LCCI and urged to bring down the markup rate. They said that both the measures were absolutely necessary for the economic revival of the country.
