River Indus at Kotri Barrage is still flowing in high flood and it would remain in the same position at this station during next 24 hours, irrigation officials said on Tuesday. They said the River Indus at Kotri is in high flood where the upstream is recorded at 586, 465 cusecs while the downstream at 561, 320 cusecs.
"The river Indus at Guddu barrage is flowing in low flood with upstream at 320,523 cusecs and downstream at 305,350 cusecs. While the Sukkur barrage is also flowing in low flood with 277,629 cusecs upstream and 235,878 downstream", the officials added.
They said that situation at Guddu and Sukkur would remain in low flood during next 24 hours, adding that the strict vigilance was being carried out round-the-clock along the bunds and added that the katcha area at Kotri downstream had been completely inundated and there was a heavy pressure on the banks of the Indus.
