Participation in Nairobi moot: Punjab government cancels programme to save money for survivors

Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has cancelled the programme of participation of 10 provincial parliamentarians in the Commonwealth Parliament-arians Association conference, to be held at Nairobi (Kenya) and thus, Punjab government has saved an amount of Rs six million.
The chief minister observed that due to the situation arising after floods in Punjab, they cannot afford such kind of tours and it is more important to spend this amount for the rehabilitation and betterment of the people hit by floods, said an official on Monday.
