The Karachi Port handled 72,147 tonnes of cargo including 59,007 tonnes of import cargo, 13,140 tonnes of export cargo, 3,301 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 59,007 tonnes comprised of 16,826 tonnes of containerised cargo; 3,872 tonnes of general cargo; 30,644 tonnes of bulk cargo: 25,657 tonnes of coal; 1,500 tonnes of rock phosphate; 3,487 tonnes of rape seeds and 7,665 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 13,140 tonnes comprised of 8,195 tonnes of containerised cargo; 242 tonnes of general cargo; 2,100 tonnes of cement and 2,600 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Star Epsilon, Alliance Charleston, Gulf Safwa, Wan Hai-605, Superior Pescadores, Hyundai New York and YM Asia sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz Hanjin Kingston, President Polk, Guan He Kou, Warnow Sun, Oriental Freesia and Alliance Charleston are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Samin-1, President Polk, Golden Fumi and Warnow Sun expected to sail on Wednesday, while another vessel viz Manila Express is expected to sail on Thursday. Six vessels viz High Progress, Kota Akbar, Uni Aspire, OEL Shreyas, Bux Melody and Vanguard due to arrive on Wednesday, while another ship namely Bunga Raya Lima is due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 83,133 tonnes of cargo includes 74,235 tonnes of import cargo and 8,898 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The total import cargo of 74,235 tonnes includes 42,905 tonnes of diesel oil; 5,969 tonnes of phosphoric acid; 415 tonnes of project cargo; 1,621 tonnes of rape seeds and 23,325 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 8,898 tonnes includes 3,978 tonnes of cement and 4,920 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three vessels viz CV Cardinia, CV CSAV Ranco, and Theresa Pegasus sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while five ships namely MT Enrico Ievoli, CV Nedlloyd Marcarator, CV Hantin Portland, MV Royal Pearl and Al-Mutanabi are expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon.
A total number of seven ships namely Atlantic Fraoke, MV Green Line, MV Alexi-1, MV Mighty Michal, CV Hanjin Portland, MT Al-Soor-II and MT Enrico Ievoli are currently occupying berths to load/offload general cargo, containers, cement, rape seeds, palm oil and phosphoric acid respectively during last 24 hours.
Six vessels viz Hae Song, Sapphire, Harsandi, Royal Portland, Golden Oceania and MSC Sisly carrying cement, MEG, sugar, palm oil and containers are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of five ships namely CV MSC Sisly, CV Izumo, CV CMA CGM Coral, MT Harsandi and MT Golden Oceania carrying containers, liquid cargo and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
