The Karachi Port handled 105,782 tonnes of cargo including 87,030 tonnes of import cargo, 18,752 tonnes of export cargo, 4,360 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 87,030 tonnes comprised of 43,469 tonnes of containerised cargo; 5,080 tonnes of general cargo; 34,704 tonnes of bulk cargo: 25,287 tonnes of coal; 2,215 tonnes of rock phosphate; 7,202 tonnes of rape seeds and 3,777 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 18,752 tonnes comprised of 8,240 tonnes of containerised cargo; 400 tonnes of general cargo; 4,312 tonnes of cement and 5,800 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely Sichem Pearl, Samin-1, President Polk, Golden Fumi, Warnow Sun and Hanjin Kingston sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Seven vessels viz Manila Express, Cape Mohan, OEL Shreyas, Bux Melody, Da Fu, Bunga Kantan Tiga and Elinita are currently at the berths. Five ships namely Bunga Kantan Tiga, Bux Melody, Manila Express, Cape Mohan and Li Hai expected to sail on Thursday, while four vessels viz Bunga Raya Lima, Da Fu, Yguan He Kou and Kota Akbar are expected to sail on Friday. Two vessels viz Vanguard and Bunga Raya Lima due to arrive on Thursday, while six ships namely Chem Norman, Stena Progress, YM North, Northern Valour, Concord and Aristea-M are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 60,975 tonnes of cargo includes 43,353 tonnes of import cargo and 17,622 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 43,353 tonnes includes 6,900 tonnes of diesel oil; 8,000 tonnes of palm oil; 2,000 tonnes of MEG; 447 tonnes of project cargo; 2,756 tonnes of rape seeds and 23,250 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 17,622 tonnes includes 4,506 tonnes of cement and 13,116 tonnes of containerised cargo. Four vessels viz MT Enrico Ievoli, CV Izumo, CV CMA CGM Coral and CV Golden Oceania sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships namely CV Nedlloyd Marcarator and MT Al-Soor-II are expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
A total number of nine ships namely Atlantic Fraoke, MV Green Line, MV Alexi-1, MV Mighty Michal, CV CMA CGM Coral, CV Izumo, CV Sisly, MT Harsandi and CV Golden Oceania are currently occupying berths to load/offload general cargo, containers, cement, rape seeds, palm oil and MEG respectively during last 24 hours.
Six vessels viz Hae Song, Sapphire, Chem Orchid, Royal Pearl, Al-Salam-II and CSAV Cantabrian carrying cement, palm oil, sugar, HSD oil and containers are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three ships namely MT Bunga Kantan Tiga, CMA CGM Eiffel and Sea Bay carrying containers, liquid cargo and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Thursday.
