Syed Johar Ali Qandhari has been elected unopposed as Chairman while Shahid Jawed Qureshi and Naseem-Us-Zama have been elected unopposed as Vice-Chairmen's of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) for the term of 2010-11.
All the eight nominees of leader of business community S M Munir have already been elected unopposed as members of the executive committee of the association including Syed Johar Ali Qandhari, Ehteshamuddin, Shahid Jawed Qureshi, Syed Farukh Mazhar, Hasham A Razzak, Azfar Aftab, Kashif Ali Khan and Mohammad Danish Khan.
It is observed that for the last few years all nominees of executive committee and office-bearers of industrial associations of the city elected unopposed. Similarly Sikandar Imam, Shafquat Jan, Yaseen Eaas, M Adeel and M Ashraf have been elected unopposed as member of executive committee of All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (Aptma) for the year 2010-11.
Businessmen Group (BMG) Siraj Kasim Teli fraction has nominated Wahab Lakhani as next Chairman of Site Association of Industry (SAI) who is likely to be elected unopposed He also nominated Saeed Shafiq, Talat Mahmood and Junaid Ismail Makda as next President, senior vice president and vice president of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) for the year 2010-11 respectively. Likewise Mohammad Irfan has been tipped as next chairman of Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry (FBAATI).
