Provincial Minister for Finance and Planning and Development Tanvir Ashraf Kaira said on Friday the government would ensure distribution of Rs 20,000 per flood affected family in an automated and transparent manner. He was talking to a delegation of MPAs at his office. He said the International Community is ensuring financial support to Pakistan for the flood-affected people.
However, he added, the devastating effect of flood is on a large scale and the financial aids received so far are insufficient. He urged the world community to provide aid so that loss of human suffering could be minimised. He said that every penny would be given to flood affectees and the government would strictly follow the austerity drive. He added that current expenditure would be cut further to explore new resources. He urged the nation to adopt austerity and ensure savings as it is a need of hour and our elite class should adopt simplicity first in their lives.
