Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Asfandyar Wali, who was on a private visit to Dubai, has returned cutting short his trip in the backdrop of political upheaval in the country. According to media reports, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani had asked the ANP chief to return early and attend the on-going national assembly session. However, spokesperson of ANP Senator Zahid Khan rejected these reports.
"All these reports are baseless that Asfandyar returned on the request of the Prime Minister," he said while talking to Business Recorder, here on Saturday. Zahid claimed that the ANP chief returned according to the scheduled programme.
