Barclays Bank plans to host the first Development Organisations Conference (DOC) at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad on October 7, 2010. The theme of the conference is: 'The Road to Sustainable Development: Challenges, Opportunities & Alliances'.
A number of International Development Organisations are active in Pakistan in the areas of Education, Healthcare, Water and Sanitation, Relief and Rehabilitation, Monitoring and Evaluation, Power, Entrepreneur Development and Agriculture Development.
This will be a high profile event featuring industry experts from financial and social development sectors who will share their knowledge with participants about the effectiveness of social programmes. It will also be attended by representatives of Government of Pakistan, donor agencies, foreign missions, leading humanitarians and philanthropists, as well as the media.-PR
