Gas load management during the coming winter season will start from November 15 under which CNG stations, power houses and other commercial organisations would face gas load shedding. However, uninterrupted gas supply to domestic consumers would be top priority. Under gas load management plan, corporate and industrial sector will be the first one to face the shortage of gas supply.
While talking to reporters here on Wednesday, Managing Director Sui Southern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) Abdur Rashid Lone said that the proposed gas load management plan would be sent to Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) for approval along with suggestions and recommendations soon.
He observed that a high level meeting of all the stakeholders for the implementation of load management plan would be held on Monday. He said that military wanted to special domestic tariffs for its kitchen related activities. "However, it was up to the government to decide whichever tariff is to be charged from military," he said adding that SNGPL would comply with government directions in this regard.
